Cyndi Wiley
Cyndi Wiley started Studio3b ten years ago while working full time as a graphic designer in St. Louis, Missouri. While her business grew and she moved from St. Louis to Des Moines, Iowa, in 2007, she decided to go solo full time. She is attending graduate school at Iowa State University, in Ames, Iowa, to pursue a Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design and a PhD in Human Computer Interaction. Her hope is to form collaborative environments where many disciplines will work together to create highly usable, well-designed interfaces. Her design and teaching philosophy are similar. She believes in excellence and strives for it every day by working dilligently and creating innovative designs based on research, usability testing, and strong command of typography. Creating a better human existence is what motivates her design and research.
She enjoys watching the snow fall and the corn grow from her Des Moines, Iowa home. Playing with her two boxers, Joppa and Cowboy, two grey kitty cats, Pacha and Jack, playing sports, and restoring a 1977 Toyota Land Cruiser with her partner, Jennifer, are activities that refresh her creativity.
